Tycho's symbolic significance | ||

Well, everyone it seems know that Durandal's name is very significant to his place in the game. But what about Tycho? As far as I've looked (the dictionary) ;^) Tyche is the goddess of luck. And there is a philosophy called tychism, which states that chance is an objective force in the universe (whatever that means). Tycho is the greek word for luck. Tycho is also a big hole on the moon, which was apparently big enough to amaze some astrologers, who named it in a dumb frenzy of shamaistic worship. (astrologers really like big things) Anyway, I don't really how Tyche/luck/chance-is-objective/big-hole connect to Tycho in Marathon. You guys wanna help me figure it out? Shem |
