: Ah, but Durandal doesn’t need to make his existence justified. After all,
: he’s Durandal. You, on the other hand, are nothing more than destiny ;-)

: Yes, but there are jumping puzzles and there are jumping puzzles. The
: Infinity level Whatever You Please - now that's a level with jumping
: puzzles. The difference was that the jumping was optional and very, very
: difficult, but it led the player to significant rewards and really cool
: exploration. I died a thousand times trying (well, probably not that
: many), but I loved it. In Bump & Grind, on the other hand, the jumping
: was part of the level and just plain an inconvenience. Maybe I just didn't
: like it because I fell off a lot (too much in a hurry), but I just thought
: that it was unnecessary here.

Yeah it is unnecessary but it's probably just there to make things interesting. Ah, Whatever You Please; that was a lot of jumping. I still don't see how this is difficult, you jump from a ledge, to a pillar, to another ledge.

: Perhaps . . . Maybe Chris or Scott could weigh in on this.

Do we have to argue in every post? :)

: Actually, as per the M2 final screen, all modern Pfhor personality constructs
: were based on a 64 billion exobyte image of Tycho which, coincidentally,
: was the same size as Durandal when he transferred himself from the
: Marathon to Boomer. I can only assume that both Durandal and Tycho
: expanded exponentially after leaving the Marathon, so this probably
: represents only a fraction of the original Tycho's program.

I forgot about that. That actually makes a lot more sense, I can't image the Pfhor wanting a computer that increased exponentially, they probably just stopped his development somewhere.

: So I'm fanatical, now.

Um, no. That's not what I meant; honest :)
