LOL - I remember those aliens and the big brainy thing. Hamish should add a "influences" section to the story page to put these kind of tidbits.

Speaking of influences, right now I'm playing an UT Mod called Operation NaPali, a solo adventure that take off were the first Unreal game ended. The Skaarj are creating "evil" Nali to fight the player - the Marathonish thing about this is that the conversion process involves replacing the Nali's left eye with a mechanical device.
