I wish I were a cyborg | ||

Yes, I wish I was a cyborg. I would look and feel like a regular human, with synthetic, lifelike skin. But the wifey asks me to fix something: I just snap off my hand and plug in a power tool. Need to look for something in the dark? Use Infravision with perfect ease. Need to lift up heavy furniture? Servo motors and genetically-engineered muscles make the job a breeze. A mechanical design would never get sick (although a system crash would be a bummer. What if my hard drive fails?) Being a cyborg has many advantages. Talking to boring people? Surf the web inside your head -- or play Marathon!! Feel like driving? Don't! Just run. Trying to get a good grade in that college course? Don't take notes: just record the whole experience. Memorizing test answers would be no problem at all. (Optional 450 terrabyte HD upgrade available) I wish I were a cyborg. It would impress the ladies. It would look good on my resume (as long as I didn't apply for a job as a human-rights activist). I would have the look. I would have the brains. I would have the life. It would be really fun.
