In Response To: fancy printing facts (Anaphiel) What I describe only applies to halftone printing... which covers pretty much everything printed in the world except for those little dye-sub photo printers that you see around. But desktop printers up to huge commercial presses obey the same rules. You scan artwork to place into the highest-quality art or photography book, you scan at 350dpi, no higher. Check the link below for even more dull, tedious information about setting up files to print. |
