I personally don't have a problem with FilePlanet using banner ads, or charging for premium service (it seems like a lot of sites are nowadays), but if they're going to be doing that they could at least streamline the process a bit more; it usually takes about five minutes of clicking through pages and "waiting in line" before I can actually start downloading anything, even if I link directly to the page for the file. Then again, I have to grant that they're improving; about six months you'd be lucky if it actually let you download the file at all.
: The FilePlanet lamers are a bunch of cash sucking, sadistic bastards. They are
: the most dishonorable lifeforms ever to walk the face of anything. They are
: lame, sub-human scumbags who force people to either pay for servers to
: download other people's otherwise free stuff, or use the slowest servers with
: the longest lines in the whole universe. I hope they all die disgraceful,
: painful and very slow deaths. I hope their remains get eaten by insects.
I'm going to add that this also applies to record companies, Dell Computer, the Microsoft Windows development team, the Backstreet Boys, a significant number of politicians, and that jerk who kicked me while I was walking down the street yesterday. Minus the server stuff, of course.
