The Pathways page claims that there is an inconsistency with the number of Germans who died in the pyramid (see the Ascension page). I don't think there is, if we look at it from the Germans' perspective.
2 bodies on Lock & Load, 2 on They May Be Slow, 1 on But They're Hungry, 1 on EUPMD... That's six dead as the Germans climbed the pyramid. Joachim, who died on Ascension, makes seven. The PID page claims that he should make 8, but as far as Joachim knew, the German on Ground Floor wasn't dead! He died when Muller shot him for refusing to go down to the catacombs, but that means that Muller's group was moving downwards at the time, which was after he changed direction at the top of the pyramid.
Since Joachim could still see after he died, he was able to watch from beyond the grave as Muller decided that they were going the wrong way and headed back down the pyramid (even if he couldn't see the decision, he would watch the men come back as he covers the only exit from the level). So he is being completely truthful and accurate in saying that seven deaths convinced Muller to turn around; he just includes his own death in that count, which is something humans rarely have the opportunity to do ;)
The German on the ground floor says "Seven above, the rest below, not counting himself, but he also says "All my friends", so that's understandable.
