In Response To: Re: "Against a Dark Background" and Halo (Cranky)

: Here's a more interesting passage from Against a Dark Background, verbatim:
: "The Lazy Guns had not had a happy history; they had turned up during
: the Interregnum following the Second War, seemingly products of Halo; the
: vast Thrial-polar Machine Intelligence artifact/habitat destroyed by
: whatever mysterious weapon had been fired from - and which appeared to
: have obliterated - the moons of the giant gas planet Phrastesis."

Aye. And if you remember back to the early Halo backstory days emphasis was placed on the gas giant "Threshold" and its moon "Basis" and the fact that Halo was at the Lagrangian point between these two bodies. Why all the detail? It never appears in the released game.

Cheers
Hamish
