It was a story I had seen before, : but it felt . . . strange." : Seven steps down = 7 years of Marathon : 3 Rooms = 3 marathons...each contain a "key" (part) : A story I had seen before but it felt strange = The Halo story..hence the : Marathon symbol in the middle of the Halo logo : DOH! there's no doubt in my mind that that's what the reward is or something : very close to that! What could the building mean, hmm? Could it be Bungie's former office building? You know, the one with the crack house in the back? Or maybe, if we follow your hypothosis, it could be a Microsoft basement in one of its buildings. Let's go off the deep end with this one. Perhaps Microsoft is planning to cash in on the Marathon phenomena by using the "key" to our collective hearts to enslave our hearts and minds! By making Halo look, feel, sound, and play a lot like Marathon, Microsoft would be tapping into an enormous audience who would be ready to sell their grandmothers' Hummel figurines just to get ahold of a Marathon keychain! I know this is kinda crazy, but (as some of you know already) I am obsessed with the delusion that Halo is the sequel to Marathon. And Martian Succesor Nadescio WAS influenced by Marathon, dammit! Vale, amici, Jonathan Bahamon Post Scriptum: Maarthon is the key to my heart. I love it. It changed my life. It wouldn't be beyond Microsoft to exploit my obssesion. Besides, obsession is a form of addiction, isn't it? And Bungie is my crack dealer. Heh heh....
