In some discussion on this forum about the device the sph't so kindly left for us, someone pointed out that Durandal tells us in the 2nd terminal on Habe Quiddam:

power and distance of the Marathon's teleporters. This
enhancement also removes the need for destination apparatuses.
Sounds like this is the device. Shouldn't you update the FAQ?
(Am I the only one who finds it amusing that I at least once a week become bored, and start reading random pages of the tory site, and then go on a posting spree complaining about everything? hahaha!)
