I knew how to do 5D space with portal rendering from Doom 3.

What's already possible is the walls are not bound to top, middle and bottom sides, you can put a portal above another portal on the same plane and you can put portals on the floor and ceiling in the same sector.

The portal renderer is limited to 20 sides on a portal and there must be space between portals.

All the sectors can connect in a 3D way, but it is only tested with Marathon geometry.

I don't have a level editor.

Scenery and monsters could be 3D triangle based or sprites.

I have a possible idea for a complex sector made of lots of triangles enclosed in a convex polyhedron of planes and the triangles get clipped by the GPU.

There are two possibilities I am working on to make the portal rendering faster and that is either use multiple cores on the processor or use the multiple threads of a GPU.

I have planned to implement more portal rendering techniques to do even more confusing 5D space.

There was an idea to have extra geometry inside sectors that render with the sector and a idea for a platform that travels from one sector to another.
