: I'm fascinated to build and run this, but...
: this new fangled Unity IDE project type configuration bewilders me.

: Wheres the CMAKELISTS file? Or makefile? or... um... the source code files
: (!!)? I'm assuming this is c++ but I see no headers or cpp files.

: hrmm... this requires weland?

Weland code is in the project scripts and it's all C#.

You need to download Unity Hub from the Unity website.

Unity is on Mac, Linux and Windows, but I've only been able to test on windows.

On Github download the optimized portal rendering Unity project as a zip file then add it to Unity hub.

There is an option to add a project from disk.

After you open it load the scene by going to the scene folder and click on the scene file.

Press play in the editor after the scene is loaded.

It has 3 levels to try.

Change the name in the Manager script game object in the scene to a Json text file in the resources folder to change levels.

The level converter creates a Json text file from a sceA file and works with the optimized portal renderer.
