: I was at the Vintage Computer Festival West (VCFW) convention in August and
: did a double take in the consignment room. It was something called a
: "MICROBOT TeachMover", see attached link.
: The logo is not a blatant copy but I think it's a bit too close to be an
: accident.
: I haven't been able to nail down the exact production date, but they've been
: in production since the 1980's, and were bought out by Questech Inc in
: 1991. Maybe they did a brand refresh a couple years later and the graphics
: designer decided to pay homage to their favorite game?
: I have a higher res photo of the unit I saw in case somebody wants it, but
: the items at the link are otherwise identical.
Maybe marathon is an homage to magnifying glasses the world over
