Ah the old MacGuffin.
You won't find much discussion about heavy machinery since... well... there isn't any. Not that we see anyway. Thus it is all speculation and wishful thinking.
I do seem to recall something about the possibility of the player being able to control a Juggernaut but again my memory isn't as good as it used to be so that might be a red herring.
There is some discussion on The Breakable Panel on We're Everywhere section about water on this level by treellama and why Durandal would want to land heavy machinery in water. Go figure.
Let's call the heavy machinery a MacGuffin.
