My theory is that the W'rk and Jjaro are more or less the same kind of beings, or at least beings with similar powers to manipulate the fundamentally dream-like nature of reality, regardless of their possibly different origins; more ideological groups than geneological groups.
I run with this idea in the backstory of Eternal and have it that the battles between the W'rk back at the dawn of time ("in primordial space, timeless creatures made waves; the waves were battles, and the battles were waves") were the consequence of them all (from various different future times and timelines) fighting over who would have control over the universe back at the dawn of time (and subsequently for the rest of time after that). And the Jjaro are the faction of such beings opposed to using such power for such selfish reasons, although... I won't spoil where I run with that, but it's not great either.
