Note that this new run was done in the OSX version, so not sure that it's really comparable to the classic mac run. For one thing you can see him actually die at least twice (I skipped to the end and watched part of it), and he somehow manages to drink a potion while dead and keeps going. This is not possible in the original as far as I can tell.
