I found it interesting that 2 of the most anticipated games this year and part of next are using Marathon sequel names. We have Halo Infinite and Doom Eternal, with the latter being to Doom 2 what Doom 4 was to Doom 1.
Maybe we will eventually get Duke Nukem 5: Joyeuse, Half Life Rubicon X and Doom Eternal X. I hope Doom Eternal does what its predecessor did and make it Marathon with a Doom flavouring. (That's how I saw Doom 4, what with the terminals and some other things)
