Running stuff instantly

Dumb question. I have been playing games by running Aleph One, and then selecting games from the menu that pops up. I could never follow the installation instructions, so I've just done this every time. Whether this is how I'm supposed to or not, how can I run Marathon or Eternal with a single click? No going to Aleph One first. No selection thingies. Just click to run Eternal.
