What to do with a sealed copy?

So I recently acquired a sealed copy of Marathon. I have no Mac to run it on at this time (though I plan to get one), and so face the conundrum - do I open it or not? It's in 9/10 condition - the shrink wrap is all there (save for one hole), and the only damage is where someone mis-assembled the box before wrapping. On the one hand, I want to have the physical manual and other goodies from within the box. On the other, sealed copies of the game are getting rarer and rarer.
So, any opinions on what I should do?
