Back with screenshots, one of the Mini-Tool's lore tab and one of the lore tab for the MIDA Multi-Tool itself:

Together, they make a very interesting picture - although one that puts paid to my previous "Destiny is another iteration of the Marathon universe after closure/reopening." But it does so in favor of making a simultaneous multiverse explicitly canon, which, honestly, is even better than I'd hoped for. I still need to, er, take a break from the game long enough to write up how this impacts previous references in Destiny (things like the Wormfood grimoire card and other echoes of Marathon in the Books of Sorrow, and the Black Garden lore), but I'm pretty excited about this development.
Also, if we can take the Mini-Tool's lore as canon for the Marathon branches of the multiverse, we have some interesting new stuff about Marathon, too!
- Strauss is confirmed as a MIDA agent/supporter.
- Battleroids may have been used in the suppression of MIDA.
- There was some kind of crashed wreck (presumably alien) that MIDA was able to access and that had AI technology.
- Strauss had access to that tech, and may have used it to program/experiment on Durandal, possibly also Leela and Tycho.
