Do the Alien Pipes/Weapon resemble a pelvis bone?

I took this screenshot from one of AlienThink' art lesson videos because I couldn't help but be reminded of the alien pipes and/or alien weapon.

Look at the side view of the pelvis bone at the bottom. Is this where the Bungie artist(s) got the design from? Or were Jjarro (and the pfhor after appropriating their technology) making these devices out of human pelvis bones? Considering the semi-canon theory that Jjarro are human... yikes.
