Function Keys in Aleph One

Is there a way to rebind some of the function keys for Aleph One?
If I launch Marathon or the sequels and mods through Steam and want to take a Steam Screenshot, the key for such which is F12 causes the game's base lighting level to increase.
Is there a way to rebind the lighting keys to something else or do I just lower the lighting level by 1 and take the screenshot then?
