I take them seriously; it helps add some context to the game's in question and they can be plausible if they have enough evidence to support them e.g. Mario being sociopathic or Bioshock Infinite Columbia's construction being possible due to quantum levitation technology (though bloody expensive) but not possible to live in due to reaching its altitude too quick and motion sickness from looking at the clouds, (not to mention fog).
