Let's talk about pre-release Halo fic

Because I'm lazy, I'm just going to link to the blog post I made, which has more links itself and some additional commentary. Some of you might've seen these before, but they're relatively new-ish to me; right now, I'm focusing on all the old theories contained therein.
All this would technically fall under the topic of Marathon, as many of these (not just the ones I highlighted) were written under the assumption that Halo was part of that universe. Cortana's personality and relation to her chosen errand boy (and to Durandal) is the most obvious; there's also Covenant-Pfhor relations and speculation of where the Jjaro fit into all this.
Besides that, there's all these stand-ins for both the then-unknown Master Chief (when they're not about a squad of normal Marines) and Captain Keyes.
