There's not really any evidence in the game for that kind of sentiment among the crew, though, is there? And it wouldn't make much sense anyway. Remember that the Marathon had been away from the Sol system for over 300 years by the time it was attacked, and other than a few elites like Strauss who were put in cold-freeze, everybody on the ship was born on the ship. No one had ever seen Mars *or* Earth, and would have only known about the conflict from history terminals and stories passed down from their great-great-great-great-great-great grandparents. I'd be surprised if any of them even considered themselves Earthlings or Martians at all, and I'd be even more surprised if they were homicidally pissed off about it any more than you would be over, say, the War of the Austrian Succession.
