Looking closely, this bit seems to only concern M1 (and there's some things, like Durandal leaving you on the Marathon and his intentions for the S'pht, that were changed or explained in M2, making me doubt how reliable this information is after that game). Tycho also seems to have stabilized a bit by M2, even if that didn't do anything for his raging jackassery.

Still, if Durandal's relative stability was meant to be an exception even after M1, keeping in mind things discussed on Tycho in that other thread...welp. (I wouldn't doubt that Durandal's unusual in SOME way, at least)

Well, she had fifteen planets' worth of network to take (as opposed to around three ships for Durandal and whatever space the Pfhor allotted for Tycho), so maybe all that extra space proved beneficial?..
