"While he lay trapped, pinned flat against the floor tiles by the malfunctioning door, his assault rifle fallen out of reach, he listened in silent fury to the hum of Durandal's laughter increase in pitch, and that's when he felt the mandibles of the Wasps as they began to gnaw through his power armor towards the flesh of his legs."
