The PiD story page mentions it somewhere. It has to do with little curious clues. For example every one of the player's American squad mates are surprised to see him alive and mention that thy thought he was dead. Then there's also the fact that when you wake in the jungle that your AK is bent and can't be used, but strangely your bones and body seem to be fine. And this is right near a pyramid where a dreaming God keeps the dead alive and brings to life strange creatures from thin air. Hmmmmmm....
