Wish it were SC MJ sometimes even though I played this first. HE would survive the fall. ;)

Yeah. I always found that anticlimactic. all we get is a nice hologram of the ring, but no actual map, unlike the Ark's cartographer in Halo 3. The "shrine" looks more like a pyramid (neither Aztec nor Mayan) with a model shuttle on top where on one of its sections, you can hear Siege of Madrigal from Myth.
You have to nick a Banshee to reach it by grapping a camo pickup and legging it before the Elite beats you to it and/or the camouflage wears off.

: I liked this map. It did a good job maintaining an illusion of open design, and we got to see more
: of what some of the technology inside the ring looks like, which I'm
: guessing is not covenant design, even though they know how it works.
The Anniversary version of this level feels even bigger, with random rocks and islands out to sea other than empty water and I think glimpses of continents too. More 3D looking ones anyway on the ring arch.
