Oh that's just the way the picture is iluminated. What I do find interesting is his haircut. That certainly is a peculiar one. I'm still trying to figure out what the picture above the helmet is about. Made me think of Ling-Ling..
Also, as I zoomed in the picture and appreciated it, I noticed that I had a wrong impression of it. As I played (TV or Laptop) it always gave me an impression that it was a very small corridor's end in terms of space/aspect, but noticing a bigger space beyond it (Top left corner) and the window (Top right) as well as the orientation/length of the lamps it certainly gives (at least me) an entire different perspective. I thought I was looking at a secluded corner of some underground garrison but this certainly seems like the corner of a spaceship war room. It's interesting.
