Nice one. There really isn't a lot more to say about the level without some serious philosophising! Well I guess we could ask why this is the full ES map when we can only access this area, or what is up with the ? box on PS's map, not sure I knew of that....
Interesting the idea of dream staging - we are well guided here in terms of having only one path (at least for mere mortals), but in a way this seems to me more like a choose-your-dream place than do the full-on dream levels. Later we have up to three choices - progression doesn't have to be linear, and although we feel like we make progress with each new leap, perhaps the order is not so important? As I suggested in NCM, perhaps the SO visited far more timelines than we do in Infinity, and we just see these few highlights. I guess they tried that order doesn't matter stuff with StarCraft II and it did the story no favours ... but then again, that was all supposed to be in one timeline!
This also leads to the question of who is in control of these leaps. In this case we gave up (or did we?) after finding out that Tycho had the trih seem and was not afraid to use it - we? interpreted unfolding events as unhelpful and took our leave ... or were pulled out (of the matrix?). And the question of who is guiding us and how it is chosen the next timeline we Try (again). On NCM I wondered if the presence of Tycho's ship nearby helped the choice. I don't think there's anything like that in -these- dreams, but maybe I need to be curiouser.
