The incorrect colour display is canon.

: revealing that in the middle (point C on the map) there is a Shotgun and a
: bunch of ammo. Previously this was invisible and inaccessible under the

You can access the shotgun under the lava with full shields and good timing. Most Vid films should show you how this is done.
