Okay finally got that all read and got it together to reply! Too much to read earlier in the workday *ahem*.
I didn't see a mention of one of my favourite things about the level. After surviving the wasps first up and making a run for it across the slime, there is something that always brings the smile back to my face. Those stationary compilers (I don't remember ever actually activating them, maybe I just never bothered) form a nice wall that the troopers usually manage to kill themselves in front of while trying to throw grenades at me :D.
Re the assault rifle, well, it's not such a big deal for me since you told me about the weapons on Eupfhoria! Thank goodness we have ammo that teleports in in M2!
The egg room is a weird one. I don't think I ever played this far not on TC, so I didn't know that one side was brown, for instance. I guess you miss out on the aesthetics with TC :(.
