In Response To: Re: Tycho's Wrath on Foe Hammer (Roland) : The dream terminal that starts Electric Sheep 3 seems to chide you for
: Also trippy is the dream-term you get before the end of Hang Brain. Is that
Just rereading those dream terminals, I think maybe it is actually willing us on:
find the new way And:
dark dreaming carries all Suggesting maybe that we are on the right track, but we still need to figure out what to do to change things. The hard way. The Hard Stuff Rules. You can also completely miss Hang Brain's Durandal 'what to keep and throw away' term if you jump down and smash the circuits before hitting the term, in which case you might be even more confused. But we recognise this is a point where we are about to get captured. Do we go through the dream levels to find (Eat) the right path? Is it not simply the same timeline, but the best of all worlds? Have we gained some ability to direct our jumps better? As regards loyalties, are we actually more of just an observer in Infinity? We change things, and see what happens, then Try again. Indeed, when we get transported out by Blake/Durandal on Naw Man He's Close, it is like it just happens to us - Durandal says thanks on Foe Hammer, but we weren't really in control at that point ... and we still aren't, but the time to choose is close. In a converted church, we read messages from all three of Tycho, Blake and Thoth / whatever it is at this point barely awake pre joining with Durandal - and that latter very much invites us to come:
my fate was written And the only other option is containment and conditioning by the Pfhor. Now we start to change things again, but with an end in mind, especially thanks to Tycho's telling us we might be holding Durandal's primal pattern. And Son of Grendel is all about choice - so many terminals. Do we at this point actually have the power to leave from a variety of them, but eat the path to the best outcome? Man Infinity is fun :).
