In Response To: Re: Tycho's Wrath on Foe Hammer (Godot) : Why all this happens on For Hammer is about the same time my head starts to
The whole alternating dual timelines, one where you were kidnapped by Durandal (M2 timeline), and the other where you are captured at the end of Marathon by the Tycho and the Pfhor (alternate timeline), plus the "dream" levels, was all very confusing for me the first couple times through the game. Basically, I ended up shrugging my shoulders and shotting what I was supposed to shoot and not asking why. IMHO, Kirkpatrick and crew were being a little to oblique with their storytelling given the medium they were working with (karmpooter gamze) and the target audience (young dudes with too much time on their hands). I think it is fairly brilliant now, but it can be damn confusing if you don't already know all the dance steps. :) BTW, I just now caught that the designation of the Pelican hauling Master Chief around in Halo CE is named after this level, Foe Hammer. That is so damn cool! :D
