: I know the behaviour you are referring to in the original game. While there
: is no glue to keep them at their positions, they tend to stay where they
: are but will move off their posts and come for you if they can hear you.
: I've just tested this in the original game. After dispatching the Pfhor in
: the long corridor that come running at you if you go past the terminal and
: fire your assault rifle the Compilers will come looking for you even
: though there is no line of sight.
I'm glad to hear that my memory was not playing tricks on me, after all the beers I have funneled through my head meats, I am surprised I remember anything at all. ;)
: I must admit I've never had them join the 'congo line' in the beta. I would
: need to test more. Perhaps sound is travelling further/faster in the beta?
: Maybe I meed to kill Pfhor more slowly? ;)
I try to be all fist-of-fury here, and so I will lure the corridor pfhor out into the previous, larger stepped area by sticking my head around that first right hand bend, this gives the compilers time to move off their ammo caches and line up. By the time the last pfhor pops out of the corridor, the s'pht are right behind them.
