Okay, it's actually easier to grenade climb up the side. For this, however, you'll require 2x health, but that's simple enough to get. Once you're up, shoot the distant switch to make sure you won't have to grenade your way up again. You can then charge your shields up again and then proceed to the end. Just make sure you don't miss the first lift, and be careful of the Hunters at the very end.
