D'oh! I guess it's 'cause we only ever have to use that platform once that it seems to only ever go up when we hop on it. True Marathoners know better, though!

Interesting fact: if you're playing Bob-B-Q straight from all the previous levels, you can skip a bunch of the level by grenade-hopping to the ledge where you began and proceeding to the lift that you ride to the end. This should let you finish the level while 'preserving' most the BoBs much more easily. After all, who said grenade hops were cheating? ;)
