Not sure, I was kinda rushing through there so I didn't get a chance to talk to the presenters. They were showing off Pathways, Wolf3d, Descent, and Quake 1 on vintage iMacs (among a bunch of other old games and consoles), though. Maybe they wanted to show off the Pippen and all they had was Super Marathon, and they didn't want to double up on the playable games.
