Aye, $162K is three times the value of Alien Gemstone ($54). But as you say you can't duplicate it in the Cedar Box. And once you eat the Egg it disappears (obviously) so you can't use it again.
So did Ron Hunsinger discover the secrets of the pyramid and get past Warning: Earthquake Zone?
The mystery deepens.
