Not entirely sure I understand the technical issue here, but I've sometimes played Eternal by continuing from saved games of earlier FC versions. I open the saved game, I get an error message: "The scenario file that this saved game was from cannot be found. When you switch levels you will revert to the default map(dag nammit)." When I click through, I end up in the right map and can play the scenario through normally.

Is there a problem with this?

: No, it will let you play through the end of the level, then return you to the
: main screen, if it can't find the map the original save was made with.

: Every time this comes up I mention how I've been meaning to write a saved
: game fixer, that would let you associate a saved game with a new map file,
: and how I never got around to it.
