: And besides that, sometime later this year, there will be another version
: with new high-res weapon graphics and player sprites (already in progress
: and looking good), some multiplayer maps (not sure who's going to make
: those yet), and hopefully, an awesome new thing: a coop-only vidmaster's
: challenge featuring the fate of other eight Battleroids (besides you and
: Hathor). But I'm not holding off on the release of what's already done,
: which is fine in its own right, for all those extras.
I don't know if this has been discussed, but to me "Eternal Omega" sounds like not the best name for something that's a set of extras rather than a whole new version of the game. If I were in charge, I'd probably just call it "Eternal Network Pack" (with "Eternal 1.1" patch for the player sprites) and "Eternal High-Res Weapons", and call the co-op scenario something that makes it clear it's separate from the original game; maybe "Eternal: The Omega Levels".
FWIW, it would sort of parallel the initial release of Rubicon, since that also mentioned the upcoming Rubicon X and "Rubicon Network / Solo Carnage Pack", and the latter ended up actually coming out only a few weeks later.
