Sorry if this has been posted before, but I just found this while googling some PiD stuff:
While they aren't saying the glass was shaped by aliens or anything (I think), the glass appears to have been delivered by a meteor. Nobody can a likely impact site, though. One astrochemist suggested an event similar to the one in Tunguska, Siberia.
Hm... mysterious meteor that doesn't leave a crater, dropping a strange shaped gem that gets worshipped by the local people?
