Eternal X Alpha 2 is now available from the bottom of http://eternal.bungie.org/dev.php. New features:
Known bugs:
As the name implies, this is an alpha release. For those who have become confused by things like Google's use of "beta" for damn near every product they make, or those who just know nothing about development cycle terminology, "alpha" means a pre-release which is known to be not only buggy, but not even entirely feature complete. The purpose of an alpha release is to bring an entire project team in synch with the latest compilation of all the team members' works, and show off how far we've come. Since Eternal's dev process has an open-door policy, this means that you the public can also peek in on how far we've come along, and we'd appreciate your feedback, positive and negative. The Xeventh Project (the Eternal X development team) will be releasing an alpha build each time a chapter becomes feature-complete. These builds are not yet converted to unimap format and are not guaranteed to work on any platform besides OSX - and even then I don't guarantee anything - but I'd like to know what users on other platforms can manage to do with this anyway. Enjoy. -Forrest Cameranesi
