Dunno how to answer either question. The SDL library itself is dropping support for Mac classic starting with their new version 1.3. And, Classic networking is a real pain, I feel bad spending time on it when there are other bugs that need fixed in the modern OS builds.
I did want to get something stable out there for people who want to play solo, or who want to test their Forge maps without rebooting.
