Did you ever go to The Macintosh Garden? It was an Underdogs site with a whole bunch of Abandonware. They had ported Mac games all the way back to Alice. I just went to my old bookmark and it gave me a searchpage, though, so maybe it's down. I hope someone else is hosting all that stuff somewhere.
: Programming skills a plus.
: I'm going crazy, I love all these old black & white Mac games and I can't
: play them in OS X, most don't work in Classic and the ones that do will
: die the day I get an Intel Mac. I have a collection of over 2000 freeware
: games from the 80s and early 90s.
: After many, many failed attempts to create OS X clones of awesome old games
: (and 1 that almost succeeded) and even more failed attempts to make other
: people create the OS X clones, and especially failed attempts to make the
: original developers take breaks from their now huge carreers in enormous
: multi-national billion dollar corporations to update their '87 games...
: ...I have created ISKUB, the International Society for the Preservation of
: Macintosh Games. It is a wiki intended to bring Mac programmers and gamers
: with some time to spare, together, to bring the games back. Because most
: modern games suck and I don't understand why nobody revives the old games
: that everyone loves.
: So I figured this would be THE place to find fanatic Mac gamers and
: programmers with lots of spare time! :D
: Please help me... www.iskub.org !
