In Response To: Re: pfhorge...where is it? (eX brutaLis) : What is Basilisk and where can I find it? Basilisk II is an emulator that lets you run Macintosh System 7.x or 8.1 under Windows, Linux, or OS X. (Basilisk I was only for some obscure platform; I don't remember exactly what I read about it.) You can use BII to run every Bungie game from Marathon Infinity back, plus the editors and all but a few scenarios. (I don't actually know if Anvil works.) Unless someone else wants to write up a comprehensive guide, you can probably get pretty far just from Googling it. The Low End Mac articles are what I used to get started, though they do have some inaccurate and/or outdated information. You can also find the necessary ROMs online, somewhere. |
