Image Reducer (OT)

Sorry for the horribly off topic post, but I honestly didn't know where else to go for computer advice from (largely) Mac users whose advice I trust. I'm looking for a program that can shrink a jpeg file from relatively large (2 or 3 megs or so) to around 5 or 600 k. Any thoughts?

Again sorry, and thanks in advance for any advice.
