![]() | In Response To: WMaiD Demo: Now Windows SDL and OSX compatable (Blayne) Well, I've played through the demo a few times now and at various difficulty levels and this has shaped up as a very nice level. There are a few minor switch bugs as others have noted, but nothing major. That ladder that some people are having trouble getting up leads to a locked door - it would be cool if there were something more up there - maybe there is but, if so, I haven't figured out how to unlock it. Otherwise there is a nice array of secrets that should keep everyone searching - too bad that the best ones can only be reached before proceeding to the bridge area. That invincibility comes in handy on TC. I'm curious why there's a mine laying weapon in the SPNKR slot. I can't imagine not having a SPNKR in WMaiD and the mines don't seem to explode. That secret 2X recharger is a nice touch, but I fear most players will miss it because it's so narrow that the player's aim has to be perfect to be able to use it, particularly with it recessed behind a narrow secret door. I'm not sure I could have picked up my heavy weapons on TC without first having played the demo on Normal - survival is tough until you know where the weapons and the 1X recharger are. I'm curious if we'll be seeing this ship in another level in the full version, in vacuum - otherwise, what are those O2 rechargers for? Job well done, Blayne. Too bad I don't have the skills you need. |
