The Bungie.net history page says that "a couple" of people took up the offer of the complete Gnop! code for $15. I have no idea whether Frankie meant "couple" as literally two, or whether nobody actually knows how many people bought it (after all, by the time Frankie wrote that, Alex was back in Chicago). The point is that someone paid for the code.
